Acknowledgements

If you have reached this stage in our website, and especially if you have visited it before, you will have noted the site has been totally updated... some additional pages, new topics, and some general changes in design.

It may be appropriate on this page to thank especially the two people who have helped me reach this stage.

David Herd, who not only showed me how to switch a computer on (yes, I was that ignorant) but also was responsible for suggesting I would benefit from going “on line”... and then offered and went on to design my first website And show me what to do.

As well as this, he also took the responsibility for the early photographs of our poultry and always made himself available to help me along. He really put himself about for me.

However with an ever increasing work load, which included a full time position as a college lecturer in the area of computers, a growing demand for his services as a web designer, and professional photographer, and the expected demands and responsibilities of a wife and young family, it reached the time when I felt I was asking too much.

This lead me on to Richard Chubb, of “Tender Soft”, who is not only involved in general Web Design, and much more, he also puts great emphasis on helping “Small Businesses” With general web design changes, creating new web designs and it appears, taking on the largest, or smallest jobs, he applies himself with equal diligence, enthusiasm, skill, energy and care to detail.... He totally listens and responds to customer’s needs.

My first contact with Richard was because my own desperation.

I wanted independence and knowledge, to make basic changes to my own website. The promises made by the “experts”, contacted on line, and by telephone previously, who were happy to promise so much, but do little... amounted to nothing!

Most of them, flaunting their skills and expertise, could not even be bothered responding!

When I was just about at “the giving up stage”, I came across his site on Sunday, around lunchtime, and decided to phone him. Apologies were given, but unnecessary... as he was already at his computer involved in a much bigger project. Not only did he have the time to listen and offer assurance, two days after, he had set up a small trial site (at no cost to me), to see if I was comfortable with what he could offer.

I have found Richard can do a great deal around computers and websites... but his main specialisation, I would think, has to be the Very Low Cost, Excellent... but “So Simple to Use Programme”, which allows “real dummies”... like me, to access and make changes to their own website.

Having a website is grand... Having a good website is even better... Being able to access your own website simply and cost effectively is simply ...Wonderful.

Both David and Richard have helped me so much in establishing my own website and I would confidently and happily, endorse and recommend highly, their services to you.

David’s own specialisation is around web design and photography... and much, much more, that I don’t understand.

Richard’s main specialisation is also web design. But he also has a main focus on the small business... supplying a simple, “easy to use” programme, which does all you want.
